When is the application deadline?

The application deadline to start in August is 1st March of the same year. Otherwise, you may apply all year round.

Can I apply from abroad?

Yes, you may apply before you relocate to Norway.

Do I need a Norwegian Social Security Number (SNN) to apply?

Accepted Answer

Not for the FIP application, but you'll need it for the application to the Municipality of Oslo .
If you do not have a Norwegian SSN, please email Frogner barnehagesøknad barnehageopptak@bfr.oslo.kommune.no who will provide you with a temporary number to allow you to make your preschool application.

Does FIP have several admission intakes?

Our main intake is in August each year, however, FIP enrolls children throughout the year when vacancies arise.
